(Inshallah, everything I’ve posted is correct, if not plzz plz forgive me, n tell me yh, and thank you everyone, wherever I’ve gotten some the information thanks. I’ve got a lot of info here mashallah about Ramadan, the main titles are underlined. You can just scroll down to the part you wanna read. The Duas, Quran, Hadith, etc should be in green Inshallah.):

 

Ramadan!

 

So, the blessed month of Ramadan is once more almost upon us! Who can wait for it? The Prophet (s.a.w) said that if we knew what was in this month we’d wish it lasted a whole year! It must be amazing then. There are so many blessings we can gain in this month; I don’t even know where to begin.

 

I know what your thinking-Ramadan’s going to be in September, right? Back to school, homework and boredom. Welcome back to cold rainy days and long days at work. But NO, IT’S RAMADAN.

The Ramadan’s are going be getting longer each year now, so we’ve been quite lucky in the past years but now it’s going to get tougher.

 

It’s so sad really, that the Ummah-the followers of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) have turned away from their deen. We barely manage to follow the basics of Islam. Most of us don’t even know how to pray-and that’s fard (obligatory) upon us as soon as we’re mature. What right do we have to call ourselves Muslims when we disobey Allah? Think about it. If a master calls his dog, the dog will go running to its master, yet when Allah calls us to worship him, how can we not? We are worse than the dog, for at least it obeys the call of its master.

 

Think about your own house. Do the prayer mats folded at every corner of the house lie there unopened? Does the noble Quran lie on that high shelf gathering dust? Does the tasbeeh hanging there lie forgotten? Do the books about Islam stay waiting to be read, wondering why they’ve been alone for so long? Is the miswak growing mould instead of being used to fulfil the Sunna? Is the beard being shaved off to make you look cool? Is the hijab being thrown off so men can stare at your beauty? Is the jilbab still hanging in the wardrobe, while your wear your fashionable, tight designer gear?

 

Astaghfirullah! Beg for forgiveness right now! What better time to repent and change your condition than in Ramadan. Surely Allah is most merciful and Insha-Allah will forgive you if you repent sincerely.

What is Ramadan?

you can look up about Ramadan in books or the internet, so if you want to know more please look it up, and i have some info here 2. 

Ramadan is the ninth Islamic month and is the holiest month. We are commanded by Allah to fast .

Muslims practice Sawm, or fasting, for the entire month of Ramadan. Fasting is one of the Five Pillars (duties) of Islam.

“O you who believe! Fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, so that you may acquire Taqwa (piety).” [Al-Baqarah, 2:183]

Abu Hurairah reported that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “The blessed month has come to you. Allah has made fasting during it obligatory upon you. During it, the gates to Paradise are opened and the gates to hellfire are locked, and the devils are chained. There is a night [during this month] which is better than a thousand months. Whoever is deprived of its good is really deprived [of something great].”

The spiritual side of Ramadan

However, that is just the physical part. It is also a month in which we should increase our spiritual sates, staying away from evil habits such as gossiping, backbiting, slander, lying, cheating and so on.

Ramadan is the spring of piety. Fasting serves many purposes. While they are hungry and thirsty, Muslims are reminded of the suffering of the poor. Fasting is also an opportunity to practice self-control and to cleanse the body and mind. And in this most sacred month, fasting helps Muslims feel the peace that comes from spiritual devotion as well as kinship with fellow believers. We must be pure in our thoughts and actions. Our intentions must also be righteous, solely for the sake of Allah and gaining the pleasure of Allah, and to have the same intention as the beloved Habib, the Prophet (peace be upon him).

 

In an authentic hadith, the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.) said, “Actions are only by intentions, and every man has only that which he intended.”

So, if your intentions are corrupt then so is the action you are doing. You get rewarded for your intentions as well as the action, so have the best of intentions.

 

The act of fasting redirects the hearts away from worldly activities, towards The Divine. The month of Ramadan is the time for repentance, prayer, Quran, giving to charity, spiritual reflection and doing good deeds. Try to draw closer to Allah in this blessed month. The fasting is intended to help teach Muslims self-discipline, self-restraint and generosity. You are reminded of how much you have been blessed since you feel the hunger constantly felt by the poor, and so you are grateful for the blessings you’ve been given, discipline yourself by not eating and drinking, and strengthen your spiritual status by staying away form worldly pleasures and devoting yourself to worship

 

It is Sunnah to eat just before sunrise, at Sehri time, and it’s a Sunnah to break the fast with dates or water. The point of fasting is not so you wake up early, stuff yourselves, go back to sleep straight away without praying, and then spend the rest of the day being lazy and thinking about when you can open your fast.

Suhur

A fasting person should eat a pre-dawn meal; the suhur.

Al-Miqdam reported that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “You should eat this pre-dawn meal for it is a blessed nourishment.” It is a blessing because it strengthens the fasting person, makes him more energetic, and makes the fast easier for them.

 Eat dates and drink water:

 The Prophet of Islam (saw) said: “The best food a believer can eat during Suhoor is dates, but if he cannot do so, then let him at least drink some water.” 

Closing your fast

Sehri dua:

Upon closing your fast the following du’a should be said:

“Wa bi sawmi Ghadin nawaytu min. shahri Ramadaan”

Breaking Your Fast

Iftar dua:

Upon breaking your fast the following du’a should be said:

“Allahumma inni lakaasamtu bikaamantu wailaka tawakkaltu wa aala rizqika iftartu”

Taraweeh

The Ramadan nightly prayer has a special merit over other nights. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: “Whoever observes night prayer in Ramadan as an expression of his faith and to seek reward from Allah, his previous sins will be forgiven.”

Recommendations for Ramadan

1. Read or listen to Qur’an.
2. Make lots of dhikr (remembrance)
3. Make du’a.
4. Pray the taraweeh in the masjid.
5. Invite people for iftar.
6. Refrain from bad behaviour such as lying, cheating, music, smoking, backbiting and slandering others to create animosity among them.
7. Give charity and be generous.
8. Make a timetable for things to do, like a wird and you can tick it off.

You know what they say about having big intentions for Ramadan. Well what about this? : To have a 1000 comments of ‘rewards’ by Eid. Inshallah

 

What I mean is leave a comment with either something from (1) Quran,* (2) Hadith, (3) Dua,Supplication or a wird (4) and Durood Shareef. *

 

The Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) s.a.w. said: “When a man dies, his (good) deeds come to an end except three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge and a righteous son who will pray for him.” Narrated by Muslim

 

So basically this can be a way for you to get rewarded even in the grave. Every time someone reads what you have posted there reward will become your reward Inshallah. So even when you die if someone happens to read the comments you’ll be getting rewarded!

I believe that the most influential person in history is Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) صلى الله عليه وسلم

The last Prophet of Islam. The blessed Rasul (s.a.w.) صلى الله عليه وسلم. He was the best of creations. He was sent as a mercy to all of mankind.  

 Us Muslim’s now are so blessed and we don’t even realise it. the reson? Well, Prophet Musa a.s. (a.k.a Moses) begged to be in the Ummah of Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.)

 

صلى الله عليه وسلم. We ARE in the Ummah of Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) صلى الله عليه وسلم.

 

 

Another influential person was Jesus (known as Isa a.s. to Muslims).

there are many more, some who influenced for good and some for evil.

However, no other person in history is better than Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) صلى الله عليه وسلم. No-one can achieve what Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) صلى الله عليه وسلم achieved.

Something to think about…

-Funny how a $20 bill looks so big when you take it to Mosque, but so small when you take it to the market.

-Funny how long it takes to do Dhikr for an hour, but how quickly a team plays 60 minutes of basketball.

-Funny how long a couple of hours spent at Mosque are, but how short they are when watching a movie.

-Funny how we can’t think of anything to say when we pray, but don’t have difficulty thinking of things to talk about to a friend.

-Funny how we get thrilled when a baseball game goes into extra innings, but we complain when a “Tarahvi” during Ramadhan is longer than the regular time.

-Funny how hard it is to read a Juz in the Quran, but how easy it is to read 100 pages of a best selling novel.

-Funny how people want to get a front seat at any game or concert, but scramble to get a back row at mosque so that scramble out.

-Funny how we need 2 or 3 weeks advance notice to fit a Mosque event into our schedule, but can adjust our schedule for other events at the last moment.

-Funny how hard it is for people learn a simple Preaching well enough to tell others, but how simple it is for the same people to understand and repeat gossip.

-Funny how we believe what the newspaper says, but question what the Quran says.

-Funny how everyone wants to go to heaven provided they do not have to believe, or to think, or to say, or do anything.

-Funny how you can send a thousand ‘jokes’ through e-mail and they spread like wildfire, but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing.

-Funny how we are we so sleepy in THE MASJID but Right when the sermon is over we suddenly wake up

-Funny how simple it is for people to NOT BELIEVE IN ALLAH and then wonder why the world’s going to hell.

The reason for writing this poem

this is da main reason 4 Qasidah Burdah (Insha Allah it’s correct):

The writer HAZRAT IMAAM SAALIH SHARA-FUD-DEEN ABU ABDULIAH MUHAMMAD BIN HASAN AL-BUSAIRI R.A had become paralysed.  His doctors and physicians gave up all hope of his recovery.  Eventually in this state of complete helplessness and despair he composed this poem expressing the grandeur and excellence of Sayyidina Rasulallah Sallallahu   Alayhi Wasallam.  Using this as his sole means of asking Allah Ta’alaa to cure him from his illness.    He isolated himself in a quiet place one Thursday night and with complete devotion, concentration and sincerity began reciting this poem. While reciting it sleep overcame him.  He had a vision of Sayyidina.  Rasulallah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam. He told Sayyidina Rasulallah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam of his   illness whereupon Sayyidina Rasulallah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam passed his blessed hand over Imam Busairi’s body.    Through the barakah and blessing of Sayyidina, Rasulallah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam Allah Ta’alaa granted   him complete cure from his paralysis. When he awoke he found a scarf or shawl on his body which he had seen   Sayyidina Rasulallah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam place on his paralysed limbs. This resulted in the poem being    named “Qasidah Burdah” (The Poem of the Scarf).
In the morning when due to some necessity. He went to the bazaar, a pious dervish greeted him with salaam and   requested him to recite the Qasidah which he had composed in praise of Sayyidina Rasulallah Sallallahu Alayhi   Wasallam the poet said that I have composed many poems in praise of Rasulallah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam,   which one do you wish to hear? The dervish replied: ‘The one which begins with, A-min Tazak-kurin   (i.e. Qasidah Burdah)”.  Upon this request the poet became wonder struck and said,   “I take an oath that no one knows about this poem.  Tell me the truth, from whom  did you hear about it?”  The dervish replied, “I take an oath by Allah that  I heard  it from you last night when in a dream you  had recited it to Sayyidina Rasulullah  Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam,  whereupon Sayyidina Rasuluallah  Sallallahu Alayhi  Wasallam became attentive towards you and because of  its blessings Allah Ta’alaa   granted you complete cure from your ailment”.When the poet gave this poem to the  dervish   his secret became known to all the people and its barakat and blessings  too became general for all.
When this poem reached Baha-ud-deen the governor of the country named Tahir, he so  highly  regarded and  respected it that he would stand while listening to it.
It is also narrated that Sa’aadud-deen Farouqi, who was a viceroy of Baha-ud-deen,   had became blind.  In a dream he saw a pious person who told him to take the  Qasidah Burdah  from Baha-ud-deen and place  it on his eyes. In the morning  he told Baha-ud-deen about this dream. The Qasidah Burdah was brought   and with full sincerity and conviction Sa’aadud-deen placed it on his eyes.  Through its barakat Allah  Ta’alaa granted him complete cure and restored his eyesight.
